Troubleshooting a hunter ceiling fan. I have put oil on the bearing ends on both sides of the motor.
What happens is the 12vdc fan is connected to a thermal switch that will run the fan motor faster when the machine is hot and then slow it down when the machine cools. The other two are electrical. Remove the blades of the ceiling fan if they are removable. Either a bad capacitor or damaged winding.
Watch this video as this will help you troubleshoot and repair it under 10. It has 4 wires marked l load 1 2 3. Loss of bearing lubrication and poor blade balance. Two of these issues are mechanical.
Ceiling fans that operate at speeds slower than normal can have one of four problems. The fans have been a problem with the unix pc in a lot of cases. The run capacitor stores charge and delays the current momentarily which gives the fan rotor time to turn and orient itself so that the induced magnetic force iseffective. 1 2 are attached to a cbb61 capacitor.
There have been occasions however when a fan goes from fast to slow and then slows all the way to a dead stop. Hunter ceiling fans are known and trusted worldwide for their reliability. It fit perfectly in my window so i don t want to get rid of it. The process is simple and quick.
Is your fan running slow. This video will give some insight into replacing the capacitor in a ceiling fan. I have a new 4 months monte carlo 24 ceiling fan and want to slow down the slowest speed. Ceiling vans have very little torque and almost any problem may cause the fan to run slowly.
When the capacitor burns out the electric current through the coil is too. Ceiling fan speed problem the torque to drive the motor of your electric fan comes from the magnetic field induced in the motor coils when electricity passes through the coils. It runs at full speed for a little then slows way down then speeds up again this repeat constantly without a pattern. If not just open the fan and clean the bearing with a wet tissue then let it dry.
