Ceiling Fan Peripheral Vision

I closed my eyes and watched they lasted only a minute or so but i didn t detect any spin.

Ceiling fan peripheral vision. It s a medical emergency. There are times when i see swirling lights like a brightly lit ceiling fan mostly in my peripheral vision. Mostly when going to a dark room from light or vice versa. What do you mean by ceiling fan effect.

The thing is that sometimes my vision seems to vibrate a little mostly in my peripheral vision it seems to be happening mainly when coming from a dark area and entering a bright one but this isn t always the case. Once i came back inside. I occasionally have this flickering in my peripheral vision that is just like the shadow that a ceiling fan with a light on it throws on the ceiling. Mainly artificial light would seem to shimmer a bit.

I also have static look on the periphery of my vision on the entire right half of my left eye toward my nose. Swirling lights interupt normal vision rspowell. Sensitivity to objects in motion can also be seen in patients with migraine. Has never lasted more that 30 minutes to and hour and once gone.

It is something like viewing things through a rotating fan blade which would be revolving about 150 rpm. I had laser for a retinal hole almost 3 weeks ago and i have a black blind spot 4 black dots but i don t see them all of the time.

Sometimes its peripheral sometimes the effect is in a shape like a circle directly in my line of sight. It s a medical. Does anyone else see flickering in their peripheral vision. A sudden onset of severe throbbing eye pain headaches blurred vision rainbow halos around lights red eyes nausea and vomiting.

Please offer some other. Starting 4 years ago when i took a very bad buck from a 3yo horse i was training i have experienced what seems like pinwheels ceiling fans kaleidoscope colors in my vision. I m not going insane i think out of the corner of my right eye i can see something that appears to be a spinning color blob my mind registers it as a ceiling fan but when i look at it it moves and there s no reflective surface that could reflect it. This seems silly to bring up but otoh who knows maybe others have experienced this.

The first time it happened i went to the er but they said i just had a headache i did have one the worst i had ever had they.
